Why we created this co-living space

We’ve travelled, moved, lived and occasionally got completely lost all over the world. Along the way, we stayed in plenty of places—some unforgettable, others best left out of the group chat.
 
Eventually, we decided to create the place we always wished we could find: somewhere with the energy and community of a great hostel, but with your own private room, proper comfort and significantly fewer bunk beds.
Room Riot is for people who want more than four walls and an awkward hello in the hallway. It’s a place to meet people, share dinners, make spontaneous plans and collect the kind of stories that sound slightly unbelievable when you tell them back home.
 
You can join the chaos when you feel like it, then close your door and enjoy your own space when your social battery gives up. No forced bonding. No matching beige furniture pretending to be a personality. Just a big, bold home in Lisbon filled with people who arrived from somewhere else
